ABOUT MRDK
MRDK is an architecture and interior design studio specializing in residential and commercial projects, with an obsession for design, materials, and details. As a small team, we carefully select the projects we take on: stimulating and ambitious commissions rather than projects simply intended to fill the schedule.
We are looking for a technologist, architecture intern, or architect who wants to take on responsibility quickly and contribute directly to high-quality projects.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Produce permit drawings and construction documents
Participate in concept development and design, depending on the projects underway
Coordinate directly with clients, contractors, and consultants
Manage projects during the construction document phase, followed by site supervision and contract administration
Collaborate daily with the two members of the team in a highly direct and hands-on work environment
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (essential requirement)
Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
Bilingual — Your first projects will be located in Toronto. Drawings and coordination with clients and contractors will be conducted in English, so fluency in English is essential
Autonomy, rigor, and a strong attention to detail
Ability to manage your workload and deliver high-quality documents with minimal supervision
WHAT WE OFFER
We take our work seriously, but we place just as much importance on quality of life. Our workweeks generally range from 30 to 35 hours. The schedule is flexible, with a few shared core hours to facilitate team coordination.
The position is 100% remote, with access to a coworking space if you prefer working outside the home. You will work directly with the partner, meaning your ideas, judgment, and work will have a tangible impact on every project.
