MRDK is a Montreal-based partnership of like-minded creatives, working independently under one roof. We design residential architecture, commercial interiors, and industrial objects, each with the same rigor.

Our work is driven by curiosity, collaboration, and a deep respect for context: for the site, the client, the craftsperson, the material. We believe meaningful spaces emerge from the balance between these things, and that balance is how we close the gap between how a space looks and how it actually works.

We obsess over detail. Every element, from the overall concept to the smallest choice, answers to a single narrative. That coherence between form, function, and atmosphere is what makes a space feel effortless, even as it reveals real depth of thought and craft.

Every project starts as a conversation, one that evolves through exploration and refinement. We work closely with clients to uncover the ideas, stories, and experiences that shape a space, and translate them into something built and real.

We build alongside talented artisans, builders, and makers, treating every project as a chance to test new materials and methods. Nothing about our process is fixed. At MRDK, we don't follow a set style. We create spaces with a strong sense of identity, shaped by the people, places, and stories behind them.

Guillaume grew up surrounded by construction working for his fathers construction company. After working in the field for many years, his passion for design compelled him to start Atelier Mainor in 2008, specializing in the design and construction of commercial spaces and custom furniture which eventually evolved to be Guillaume Ménard Design.

David graduated with a masters of Architecture from McGill university. David gained experience on large and small scale projects at Lab Architecture studio in Melbourne Australia  and _naturehumaine architecture + design in Montreal. In 2013 David founded an office of his own, working on exciting projects in residential architecture, commercial interiors as well as professional photography and videography.

June is a welcomed female presence in the office. Her skills include licking between toes, giving puppy eyes, strutting down the street, and all-day cuddles. She is working on her problem peeing on the carpet, barking when her daddy leaves, her silent but deadly farts and her narcoleptic tendencies.

Passionate about design from a young age, Benjamin graduated with a bachelors degree in Environmental design from UQAM in 2020. After an student exchange in Belguim and a stage at Pierre Hebbelinck Atelier d’Architecture in Liège, he joined the MRDK team in automn of 2020.
